We had an amazing time staying at Monte Novo in Montargil. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist us. The hotel facilities were impressive, offering a range of activities such as boat rides, wakeboarding, and sunbathing by the beautiful Barragem de Montargil. The villas were luxurious and provided a peaceful and zen-like atmosphere. The location, right in front of the river/dam, offered stunning views, and the pool was right outside our room. The breakfast had a great selection and the entire hotel was impeccably clean. Special thanks to Chef Miguel for making our stay so special.

My director chose Montargil Monte Novo for our business trip, and I must say it was a great choice. The pool area was well-maintained, and there were plenty of sun loungers available for guests. , the location of the villa was peaceful and serene, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

Despite the high level of service, the menu at the hotel restaurant could benefit from more variety for those staying more than a few nights.

The villas at Montargil Monte Novo were absolutely fantastic! We felt like we were living in our own little piece of paradise. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. The private pool was the cherry on top, allowing us to relax and cool off whenever we wanted. It was the perfect getaway for us as a couple, providing all the comforts and privacy we needed for a romantic vacation.

Personally, we found that the fully equipped kitchen was a bit excessive for our needs. We preferred to dine out and try the local cuisine, so we didn't really make use of all the cooking amenities.

Spending Christmas at this hotel was an unforgettable experience! The location, tucked away in the hills, surrounded by the beautiful countryside was a true gem. A stunning infinity pool overlooks a gorgeous reservoir, and the rooms were luxuriously furnished with wonderful views of the landscape. The staff was exceptional, ensuring that we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The meals, using local produce, were fantastic, especially the Christmas dinner which had an array of delicious traditional Portuguese dishes.

Honestly, there were no negative aspects. The only slightly inconvenient thing was the distance from the nearest town, making it a bit of a hassle to get last-minute items, but the calm and peaceful location outweighed any minor inconvenience.
